First topic message reminder :

This den is a maze of tunnels intertwined with each other, only the members knowing how to get through it without being lost. A small hole in the roof lets water drip into the den and leaves a large pool of water for the canids. This is the main roleplay area.

The Twisting Den - Page 14 Empty Re: The Twisting Den

Post by Lucha on Sat Jan 18, 2014 11:50 am

Lucha arrived at the den, frowning as Nelson said his quick good-bye and flew away. She whimpered slightly, her ears flattened and her tail lowered, watching the machine disappear.

She shook her head, as it had been quite some time since the ride, and had a refreshed view of her home. It was warm, and she no longer had a blanket to her company on long nights. She trotted away from the helicopter-rail prints, assuming her confident posture. The elder's expression remained dark and glum.

Post by Bamboo on Sat Jan 18, 2014 11:58 am

Bamboo trotted happily past the helicopter and the saddened Lucha to her mate, who seemed to be trying to stay awake. It was around 2 in the morning! She was simply trying to find Radio before she went to rest.

"Radio!" She yipped happily, refusing to look down at the tired faces scolding her.

She lightened her voice, and dipped her head a bit lower than his to poke his chest with her nose. She giggled, wondering if the cold would shake him.

"Hey." The Anyana greeted, her puffy tail setting into motion, and her expression brightening.

Radioactive turned his head as Bamboo called his name. "Hey, Bambi. How have you been?" He inquired, noting his long wanderings from the pack at times.

Skyfall paused. She is unsure if her conversation with Gary is going to be long for the newcomer is looking at her with interest. But Skyfall really liked talking with Gary.

Thunder decided that Skfall looked too interested in the conversation she was having with her friend Gary and started venturing out east, not really knowing were he was going.

The sun almost blinded the Mexican Gray's eyes. The female looked around for some water. After finding a puddle, Skyfall waved farewell to Gary and if he wanted to continue talking he can follow her with a wave of her tail.

Skyfall tried to block out the rays of the sun as she lowered her head to drink from the pool. The water seems to be cold despite the heat. Perhaps there will be prey around to look for water in order to live.

Thunter wondered though the outback and seeing nothing but sand he developed a great thirst. Looking for any kinda water source. Finding nothing he became dehydrated. Now delusional, he began seeing things, what he thought was water turned out to be a nice puddle of sand. Finally after miles of uninhibited land he finally found a water source.

Hurricane yawned as he watched the members mill about. "Hmm..." He muttered to himself, padding to anearby steam and lapping up some water. The male padded over to Skyfall and twitched his ears. "How are you doing in the pack?" He inquired, eyes narrowed lazily.

The Twisting Den - Page 14 Empty Re: The Twisting Den

Post by Lucha on Sat Feb 01, 2014 10:49 am

Lucha rose from her extraordinarily long slumber with a loud yawn. She stretched her clicking legs forward, her tail lifted to flick the bark of the tree she had been laying by. She shook her head, and regained the proper posture of a Lead Consilium.

'Water.' Was the first thought that came to mind.

The elder Maned Wolf dragged herself to the Falls. She dipped her long neck down to the water, and lapped a few gulps with quick strokes of her tongue. In the corner of her eye, she spotted a stranger - desperate for her water - approaching the waterfall's edge.

"'Xcuse me, I don thank Oi've seen ye rand heah - Have I?" Lucha questioned, her ears to their sides in a dominant gesture. This was Hurricane's territory, and she would do what had to be done in order to keep his "brood of puppies" safe.

Flashes of her siblings Sirius and Europa went in Skyfall's mind, but she dismissed them. After all, there is nothing she can do about it. This is Skyfall's home now, and the pack is now her family.

"Yes, I am. I'm starting to think of the pack as my new family every minute." Skyfall said truthfully.

Post by Layla on Wed Feb 05, 2014 2:02 am

Layla let out a huff of annoyance. All of these newcomers. Even though she was basically a newcomer as well, she felt like she's been here for years, simply by the strong connection between her and her brother.

She could tell by the look in his eye that Thunter wanted to talk with Skyfall really badly, and rolled her eyes. Love at first sight, she thought bitterly. Young love.

The Twisting Den - Page 14 Empty Re: The Twisting Den

Post by Gary on Wed Feb 05, 2014 6:29 pm

addressed: it appears skyfall has moved on but if otherwise please let me know! / thoughts / voices / speech
Gary hated seeing others together. It was his primary pet peeve, his through dislike, his bete noire. That sickening sense of mucky togetherness brought down his emotions and made him question why he'd ever even bothered keeping himself alive if this love was something he had to loathe over constantly. Whenever he foresaw this disgusting bonding, his gaze would intensify as he recounted how little he cared for his race; caring about nothing but lame old relationships. Love. Who even cared at all, though? Many people; that was the answer. Gary hated so many things, he wondered how he's managed to stay alive so long. He judged and stared and lumbered around like the lunatic that he was. "Lunatic" was a relative term, though. He wasn't insane; he was a messenger. The deliverer of emotion, belongings, and misc. He could fit that on a business card, no questions asked. Start a business; it was almost laughable to think this way, being so naturally negative and sarcastic. Sadistic. Why did he even bother? he asked himself again, dodging a few roots and skipping over several plants haphazardly rising from the ground. The crowd was thickening. Bird calls grew louder and his heart raced as he ran. The chorus of four paws continuously hitting the earth, two at a time in unison, made the aura even more eerie; abnormally silent. Gary kept going, though. He felt like he was seeking something or looking for a new lead. Maybe the messenger was getting his steam back.

These were the sounds that had begun to symbolize Gary's life: the chirping of birds, that whistling of the wind, the beating of his own heart. This should have been peaceful to him, if it weren't for his overactive mind. As he ran, he began to stumble, feeling as if roots and underbrush were pulling at his limbs, dragging into the oblivion. Removing him from his unwelcome place in the society. His limbs ached as his mind did, too. It thumped heavily, shaking like there was arctic cold inside his mind. At any moment, he felt like his mind would burst, raining out all of his unhealthy chemical balances and leaking out all of the negativity that had begun to burn naturally inside of him. Sizzling with fury and overflowing with bittersweet evil, Gary had eventually begun to let his body do whatever it wanted. He didn't control his mouth, nor did he care what he said as long as it was disturbing someone. He hated it when others tried to be nice with him; spars, skirmishes, and feuds built him up like bricks built a house or logs built a cabin. He was sturdy with pillars of malice to fall back on. That was probably why he was here... friendless... lifeless... afraid...

Gary tripped, plummeting to the ground in a heavy "umph". He closed his eyes and stayed on the ground for a moment, breathing in slowly. It was pretty cold for early autumn; he expected hints of summer and general heat to still be in the air. The ground was ice, though, seeping through his fur and chilling the thin black layer of his skin. This was the forest, after all. Grunting, he hoisted himself up and stretched. The life of a knave was a tough one, forever sulking out of notice and pretending to blend in. This was a miserable moment of his life, for the one ones came when he was doing what he was known for. In several different pack locations, he'd stolen things and won overall. Many knew his name. But alas, he'd never journeyed anywhere close to this ominous wood and had no idea what to expect within these trees. Perhaps he'd have a better chance of disguising himself, or perhaps he was feared. Or, perhaps he'd just end up tangling himself in a knot of words and scare off more wolves.

Skyfall and Bamboo were just examples.

Lucha did not speak another word. She would not question this harmless stranger further more.

"Ye can stay," She called out briefly to the male.
"Jast... Dan' get an me good sayde."

A low growl erupted from her throat, and she trotted back to the tree she had came from. The elderly female flattened her ears to the sound of her own bones clicking while she settled down to rest.

Connor gasped for air as his eyes blinked in fear as he woke up from a nightmare, noticing himself on a tree, and almost slipping over. He clinged himself to the branch, his grown and strong claws breaking through the bark. He sighed, and slowly jumped down from the tree. He shook his pelt, and glanced around, looking at the different new members.

From the distance, Skyfall noticed a wolf falling out of a tree. At once Skyfall wanted to bound over to see if he is okay. But she is unsure if Hurricane is done talking to her to see how she is doing. Skyfall knows better not to be rude, but cringed when she remembered that she left Gary before he can finish the conversation.
